I’m off to a pretty good start toward hitting my reading goal for the year. I may even have to set new goals if I keep reading at this pace. Another added bonus – the first book I read this year, The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, won the Newbery Award. I don’t think I’ve ever read the award winner before it was chosen in past years. Pretty cool!
So, here’s my tally so far (even though I’m not including graphic novels and audiobooks toward my goal, I am keeping a tally of them as well):
- Adult books read: 2
- YA books read: 2
- Children’s books read: 8
- Graphic novels read: 2
- Audiobooks read (?) heard (?): 1
That leaves me with 15 adult books, 15 YA books, and 10 children’s books to read this year. I’m actually surprising myself.
What I do need to work on is my reviewing. I did review The Graveyard Book, but I haven’t reviewed anything else here. So, I’ll try to be better about that. I did read some good books last month, and I need to share them! So, reviews coming soon…
